The Glenn Miller Orchestra will be performing a concert at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, April 27th at Seneca Valley Intermediate High School. The Seneca Valley Jazz Ensemble will open the performance.
The event is being sponsored by the Seneca Valley Band Foundation. The Foundation's mission is to provide opportunities beyond regular educational programming for students in the Seneca Valley School District instrumental music program. SVBF was recently awarded a grant for this performance from the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, a state agency funded by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the National Endowment for the Arts.
The legend lives on as the world famous Glenn Miller Orchestra performs favorite hits including: Tuxedo Junction, Moonlight Serenade, Chattanooga Choo-Choo, Stardust, and Serenade in Blue. The Glenn Miller Sound lives forever and is still the most sought after big band in the world, just as it was in Glenn's day.
