In addition to over 12 years of private lessons, Becky has attended the Northern Kentucky University Summer Piano Institute specializing in the development of performance skills and has attended the Taubman Summer Institute in Massachusetts. She has served as an accompanist for solo and ensemble events. Becky is active with the Pennsylvania Music Teachers Assoc. and the Pittsburgh Piano Teachers Assoc. Jamie Tommarello attended Seton Hill University, where she received a bachelors Degree in music; majoring in clarinet with a minor in piano. In her seventeen years of experience Jamie has played in the Westmoreland Symphonic Winds, St. Joseph Parish in Ohara Township and has been giving private instruction for the past two years. In addition to private lessons Jamie teaches K-8 music at St. John the Baptist School in Plum.

John V. Kulik, NCTM holds a B.S. degree in Music Education St. Vincent College, Latrobe, PA, and a M.M. degree in Piano Pedagogy from Duquesne University, Pittsburgh, PA. He is a Nationally Certified Teacher of Music with over 30 years of teaching experience with students age 4 and up. Mr. Kulik has taught private as well as class piano at Chatham College’s Laboratory School of Music, Pittsburgh, PA and at Westmoreland County Community College, Youngwood, PA. He has had many successful students place in performance and composition competitions at the local and state levels of PMTA. Mr. Kulik currently maintains an independent studio of children and adults in Murrysville, PA and is a frequent solo and collaborative pianist in the area as well as being a performing member of the Friday Evening Music Club, Greensburg, PA. A professional pianist and flautist with extensive classical training and performance experience, Lisa Rae Vaughan is Executive Director for the Lisa Rae Music Studios, LLC. In 1994, Ms. Vaughan implemented a network of community-centric teaching studios and has supervised the music education of more than 1000 students ages birth to 85. LRMS offers private and group music lessons to youth, adult, and students with special needs (incl. autism, ADHD, physical and mental challenges) through its multiple Western PA sites and licensed Music Together Centers. At Johnstonbaugh’s Music Centers, Ms. Vaughan offers private piano, flute, clarinet, saxophone, and violin lessons. Students are prepared and afforded opportunities to participate in studio-wide recitals, piano competitions, professional evaluations, and Music Clubs Festivals. Ms. Vaughan was graduated from Pittsburgh’s Carnegie Mellon University where she earned a Bachelor of Science double degree in Electrical / Computer Engineering and Engineering Public Policy. It was at the prestigious CMU that she studied classical piano with Nelson Whitaker. First trained in classical and sacred music by her mother, Natheleen Murphy Vaughan, she broadened her musical horizons through private studies with flautist James Walker, formerly of the Pittsburgh Symphony, Los Angeles Philharmonic, and co-founder of the jazz ensemble "Free Flight". She has also attended the Jamie Aebersold Jazz Camp in Louisville, KY, and most recently, studied jazz piano with the national touring pianist, Frank Cunimondo. Act 33/34 Clearance Teacher

| Description: |
Patrick Philip Becker, tenor, completed his undergraduate studies in voice performance and completed courses in music teacher certification at Mercyhurst College. In addition, he did some coursework in graduate studies in music at West Virginia University, as well as in French. This past year, he made his debut as a producer/director in “Deception and disguises” by Mischievous Opera. As a professional singer, he has performed with the D’Angelo Opera Theatre and the Outreach Program, Erie Opera Theatre, and Undercroft Opera. He has been a core member and performed solos in concerts with the Bach Choir of Pittsburgh. Also, he portrayed the character of Buddy in The Cardigans with The Theatre Factory in Trafford, PA, as well as being a soloist in their benefit concert for the past two years. For the last two summers, he was accepted to study in prestiguous opera training programs in Austria, Italy, Germany, and France. He has been a participant in masterclasses with world class artists, including Mark Rucker, John Moriarty, and Lester Lynch. Also, he has performed under the baton of conductors Thomas Wesley Douglas, Milutin Lazich, Bruce Morton Wright, Hugh Keelan, and Frank Collura. As a pianist, he has studied with notable teachers Lorraine Min, Ramasoon Sitalayan, and Jeffrey Myers.

Act 33/34 Clearances are designed to ensure that people who work with children have a record clear of child abuse and crime. All schools in Pennsylvania require that teachers and school staff have Act 33/34 Clearances. In June of 2005, Johnstonbaugh’s Music Centers implemented a policy that all new teachers are required to have Act 33/34 Clearances. |
